Vallåsskolan is a multicultural school with approximately 730 students in grades F-9.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for two Leisure Home Teachers for teaching in leisure homes as well as sports/music.

As a teacher, you are responsible together with the rest of the team for the leisure activities. This includes planning, documentation, and evaluation to develop the operations based on the school’s governing documents. We start from the students' needs, experiences, and thinking and adapt our activities to the fact that students have different conditions. Our mission is to support the students' social and general development, expand and deepen their knowledge and experiences, and offer active breaks and meaningful leisure time. You help the students by providing them with support and stimulation based on their conditions. During the day, one of the positions will include music teaching for grades 2-4 and collaborative work with the school class. The other position will include sports teaching for grades 1-3 and break activities focused on football.

The tasks vary, providing a diverse and challenging job, while the work requires both competence and personal qualities from you. You are a stable and secure person with a good ability to create trust among those around you. It is important that you can work independently, are clear, action-oriented, and responsive to adapt to the students' needs. You work calmly and systematically with a low-arousal approach and have a positive and inclusive attitude towards students, colleagues, and parents.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed teacher with a focus on leisure homes. You are a stable and secure person and have a good ability to create trust among those around you. You can work independently, are clear, action-oriented, responsive, and can adapt to the needs of the student(s). You work calmly and systematically with a low-arousal approach and have a positive and inclusive attitude towards students, colleagues, and parents.

If you cannot do that, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

If you are offered employment within the Child and Youth Administration, you are required to present a clean extract from the Police's criminal record for work within schools/preschools. The extract is free of charge and takes about 2-3 weeks for the police to process. Therefore, order in good time!
