About the Social Services Administration

The Social Services Administration is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer services grounded in several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

Job Responsibilities

Do you want to work closely with people and make a difference in their daily lives? As a support assistant, you will help create security, participation, and development for people with various functional variations.

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a combined position within daily activities and housing with special services (BmSS) according to the LSS. The position is unique as it combines activities in both employment and living environments. As a support assistant, you will provide pedagogical, social, and practical support to people with functional variations in their daily lives. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, quality of life, and participation in society.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Providing individually adapted support in both daily activities and housing.
  • Working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clear communication pedagogy, and a low-arousal approach.
  • Planning and carrying out physical activities that promote participation and well-being.
  • Collaborating with relatives, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Documenting interventions in digital systems according to current routines.

Working hours are scheduled during the day and every other weekend, depending on the needs of the operation.

Qualifications

You have a genuine interest in working with people and a good ability to build trust and relationships. You are confident, attentive, and able to adapt your approach to the needs and conditions of different individuals.

It is a requirement that you have experience and knowledge in clear communication pedagogy, a low-arousal approach, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

We also expect you to have:

  • Upper secondary education in care and welfare or children and leisure, or other education considered equivalent by the employer, such as a 2-year folk high school education to support assistant at upper secondary level.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Class B driver's license (requirement for an automatic transmission vehicle).

Salary form: Monthly salary.
