We are proud of Trollhättan's city with over 5,000 employees, who every day make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the development of the city's sustainability and vitality. We are driven and motivated by the guiding principles of Courage, Participation, Innovation, and Action. Here, there is an exciting development where you can help make our city even better.
Do you want to help drive complex societal issues from words to action? Do you thrive in the space between strategy and practice, and gain energy from bringing people together around a common goal? Then this may be the role for you.
We are looking for a process leader who will work with city-wide processes and development issues. The role involves leading, coordinating, and driving issues that span multiple operations – with a focus on creating real change and achieving concrete results.
You will work in the city director's office – close to decisions, close to reality.
Responsibilities
As a process leader, you will work on behalf of the city's management and be responsible for:
- driving and coordinating city-wide processes across operational boundaries
- holding together complex issues with different perspectives, even when there are no given solutions
- creating structure, direction, and progress in development work
- facilitating collaboration between different operations, professions, and levels
- translating strategic goals into actionable activities and actual results
The initial focus area is equitable education, but the assignment will over time also encompass other prioritized development areas in the city.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is confident in a leadership role without formal operational and personnel responsibility, is receptive to different perspectives, and has the ability to make things happen – even when the issues are complex and the way forward is not obvious. You are used to working in complex organizations and have experience in process leadership in an inclusive and results-oriented manner.
You have:
- relevant academic education
- several years of experience leading or coordinating development and change work
- experience working in a politically governed organization or another complex organization
- good ability to analyze, structure, and communicate complex issues
To succeed in this role, we see that you:
- are driven, action-oriented, and used to taking responsibility for progress
- are strategic yet pragmatic – you know when it is time to act
- have excellent collaborative skills and build trust in various contexts
- are persistent and comfortable working with difficult issues that take time to resolve
- have a genuine commitment to community development and public service
With us, you will have a meaningful assignment where you are given great trust and the opportunity to influence the development of the city. You will become a key person in the work of creating sustainable solutions that make a real difference for our residents.
