Medical Secretary in Adult Psychiatry/Forensic Psychiatry

As a medical secretary within adult psychiatry/forensic psychiatry, you will work service-oriented towards colleagues and patients in both inpatient and outpatient care.

You will collaborate closely with other medical secretaries as well as other healthcare personnel within the organization.

Your tasks will include writing medical records, handling mail, reception work, and other healthcare administrative tasks.

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for someone who has training as a medical secretary or is studying to become a medical secretary and has completed at least one year of the program. Previous experience in administrative work or healthcare is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well both in writing and verbally. You are an experienced computer user and have experience with computerized healthcare administration. We would like you to have knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic.

You find it easy to build relationships with other professional roles, contributing to and appreciating the value of good collaboration. As a medical secretary, you will have contact with many people, both patients and staff, both within and outside the unit, which is why we place great importance on a good reception and service spirit.

Your Future Workplace

We have about 200 employees in adult psychiatry north and forensic psychiatry, and the organization consists of inpatient care, outpatient care, and forensic psychiatry.

In the autumn of 2025, we will move into the new psychiatry building and gather all adult psychiatry and forensic psychiatry in Västervik in the same building. We are part of the psychiatric administration in Region Kalmar County. Within the administration, a total of 600 employees work with specialized psychiatric care for adults, children and adolescents, forensic psychiatric care, and rehabilitation care. We work based on the vision: A cutting-edge specialist psychiatry.
