Unit's Mission

In the unit in Kalmar County, we work together in our 12 municipalities to meet job seekers and employers physically on-site or remotely. Our unit, which covers the entire Kalmar County, employs about 120 staff members, located in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, and Västervik.

Job Description

As an employment officer and civil servant, you will work in a changing environment where you see opportunities in new conditions and actively contribute to the development of the organization. Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The place of employment is Västervik.

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University/college education of at least 180 credits/120 points, alternatively you are/have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Swedish Public Employment Service for at least 6 months and are assessed to have good prospects of meeting today’s requirements for employment officers.
  • At least two years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent over a total of two years, in jobs where digital systems and good documentation have been central.
  • Very good knowledge of communicating in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good reading comprehension.
  • Driving license B.

Other Qualifications for the Position

  • Experience in creating relationships with employers.
  • Knowledge of how the local labor market looks with competence and recruitment needs.
  • Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, healthcare institutions, and our contracted service providers.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities/health issues.
  • Experience in exercising authority.
