Summer Internship as a Medical Secretary/Clerk

We offer you a varied summer internship as a medical secretary/clerk.

Your tasks will include writing medical records, handling mail, and reception work, as well as other healthcare administrative tasks.

The work involves close collaboration with doctors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, and others as you work in a cross-professional manner. You will work service-oriented towards colleagues and patients and also have close cooperation with your colleagues in the secretary group.

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for someone who has training as a medical secretary or who is studying to become a medical secretary and has completed at least one year of the program. Previous experience in administrative work or healthcare is an advantage.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well both in writing and verbally. You are an experienced computer user and have experience with computerized healthcare administration. We would prefer if you have knowledge of the medical record system Cosmic.

You find it easy to build relationships with other professional roles where you contribute to and appreciate the value of good collaboration. As a medical secretary, you will have contact with many people, both patients and staff, both within and outside the unit, which is why we place great importance on good reception and service spirit.

Adult Psychiatry North consists of an outpatient clinic in Vimmerby, two outpatient clinics in Västervik, and psychiatric inpatient care including forensic psychiatry in Västervik.
