About the Position

A guardian, administrator, or custodian is the person who helps someone with limited ability to safeguard their legal and financial rights. The person receiving help is called the principal. A guardian must also work for the principal's best interests in various contexts and ensure that the principal receives the care and supervision needed. The role of a guardian is a voluntary and personal assignment, but the guardian is entitled to a certain fee.

There should be a supervisory authority in every municipality. The task of the supervisory authority is to oversee custodians, guardians, and administrators. The supervisory authority is appointed by the municipal council and monitored by the County Administrative Board.

The supervisory section in Trelleborg Municipality is a supervisory authority that guarantees legal security for the principals who rely on support resources. The supervisory section also manages all supervisory matters within Skurup and Svedala municipalities through agreements.

Job Responsibilities

The job as an accounting auditor involves continuously reviewing the financial records of the representatives. This means going through personal financial accounts to ensure that the principal's finances are managed well and to ensure that the principal does not suffer harm from the representation. As an accounting auditor, you will review annual accounts, final accounts, and a list of the principal's assets and liabilities, known as an asset inventory. The accounting of the representatives' assignments can be done both electronically and on paper.

The assignment includes providing information and contacts with the public, guardians, administrators, custodians, courts, and other authorities. Furthermore, the work involves administration such as record-keeping and archiving documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with relevant education, preferably in economics or law. You should have experience working with accounting and auditing financial documentation such as accounting records.

Trelleborg Municipality is undergoing a digitalization process, so it is important that you have experience handling digital case management systems and record-keeping systems.

To be considered for the position, you should be able to independently plan and prioritize as well as drive your work forward to achieve results. You should be helpful and treat others with kindness and respect. You should speak and write simply and clearly and be good at collaborating and supporting others to achieve common goals. You enjoy working independently but should also find it easy to collaborate in teams and with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you should be meticulous and structured and have experience with administrative work with a financial focus. You are also analytical and solution-oriented.

Given the nature of the position and the tasks, it is essential that you can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
