The Tenants' Association is a member organization that advocates for the interests and rights of tenants. Our overarching business idea is that everyone has the right to a good home at a reasonable cost. We are a politically independent and democratically structured organization with over half a million members.

About the Role

Are you passionate about driving housing policy issues? Do you want to be part of developing Sweden's largest and most important popular movement? As a housing policy strategist, you will lead and coordinate the Tenants' Association's housing policy and advocacy work. You will be part of a close-knit team in the communication and housing policy unit.

As a housing policy strategist, you will serve as the hub of our regional housing policy and advocacy work. You will participate in several working groups at the national and regional levels and lead some of the regional ones. Together with our elected representatives, you will both lead and initiate various activities and support and capture the existing engagement.

You will also act as our region's housing policy expert. You will keep track of important events in the external environment and stay attuned to the regional housing policy debate so that the Tenants' Association and our issues have a clear and visible place on the map. You will project manage housing policy events, report releases, and seminars.

Qualifications

It is important that you share the values of the Tenants' Association. As a Housing Policy Strategist, you must be outgoing, have a strong interest in social issues, be curious and trustworthy, brave and positive. We are looking for someone with a systematic approach and who is confident in themselves and can focus and step forward even in pressured situations. You should be able to work independently while enjoying teamwork. You thrive in the role of the spider in the web and enjoy leading meetings, both large and small. You are service-oriented and communicative in both speech and writing.

The position requires a broad competence, and therefore we will recruit a candidate with various theoretical and practical knowledge. Great emphasis will also be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Socially oriented higher education
• A strong interest in society and engagement for the Tenants' Association's issues
• Experience in lobbying/PR/influence work
• Experience in or with an idea-driven popular movement is an advantage
• Experience in housing policy and advocacy issues is an advantage
• Very good skills in expressing yourself in speech and writing
• Good skills in working with social media and press
• Good skills in the Office suite

The position is a full-time employment, with some evening work and the working hours are unregulated. Start date by agreement, we apply a six-month probationary period. The position includes some travel as the work area spans northern Skåne, and therefore a driver's license and access to a car are required.
