Economics Function within the Labor Market and Social Administration

The economics function within the Labor Market and Social Administration consists of a chief economist, two administrators, and three controllers.

The unit works to support managers and operations in managing financial resources through invoice management, accounting, planning, monitoring, and forecasting of the financial results, as well as compiling various financial documents.

About the Role and Your Tasks

As our colleague will be on parental leave, we are now looking for a temporary controller who is motivated by analyzing the current situation in financial figures so that budget managers have the best possible conditions to understand the future financially. The assignment involves close collaboration with the administration's managers, where important skills include seeing the whole and complex relationships and the ability to communicate in a simple way.

As a controller with us, you will work with both operational and strategic financial issues. Your focus will be on financial management, budgeting, and monitoring within our areas of operation to ensure effective resource utilization.

Your tasks include supporting managers with budget documents, ongoing follow-ups and forecasts, preparing decision-making materials for monthly forecasts, interim reports, and annual accounts, as well as conducting analyses and reports to facilitate decision-making. You will also perform internal control according to plan and identify improvement opportunities in processes and working methods.

Together with your colleagues in the economics unit, you will conduct internal training on financial issues and ensure good ongoing accounting, and you will be part of the administration's development and investigation work related to finance and operational management.

You will work consultatively and structured, closely with operational managers, unit managers, and financial administrators. The work also involves contributing to strengthening the economics unit's work by developing processes and working methods. With us, you will combine independent work with close collaboration with colleagues and other support functions.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone who is a business economist or equivalent. Furthermore, you have several years of work experience from a similar position in a politically governed organization. Experience in working with finance in refugee, labor market, financial assistance, and purchased care is an advantage.

You are confident in your professional role, responsible, analytical, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You find it easy to work systematically and create structures in your work while seeing the whole and the bigger picture. You enjoy collaborating and can adapt your approach to the situation. It is also important that you can work independently and drive your own work forward to completion.

You have good pedagogical skills and as a person, you are flexible and unpretentious.

We expect you to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and that you have good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Raindance. Experience working in Qlicksense is an advantage.
