The Radiology department in Trelleborg is part of the clinical area (VO) imaging and function at Skåne University Hospital (Sus). The department consists of three conventional X-ray labs, two computed tomography (CT) scanners, one magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, and two ultrasound (US) machines. The department employs radiology nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, medical secretaries, and a sonographer. The unit has a total of about 30 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

No two days are alike as you will work with various administrative tasks in scheduling and at the reception. You will be part of a team consisting of medical secretaries and nursing assistants, but you will also collaborate with radiology nurses, radiologists, and sonographers working in our unit.

You will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals and run the operation on time. This means that the majority of your work will consist of booking/canceling radiological examinations in the radiology journal system. You will also hold conversations on the phone with referrers, SVF coordinators, and patients.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY or 400p YH, or equivalent approved medical or doctor secretary education. Good language skills in Swedish are required. We would prefer if you have some years of experience as a medical secretary in healthcare. Experience in radiology and knowledge of Sectra RIS/PACS is an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you need good collaboration skills while also having a very good approach towards patients and colleagues. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
