We are looking for a GIS Specialist for digital information management at Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration).

This is a consulting assignment based in Stockholm.

The position is part-time, ranging from 30% to 50% of a full-time role.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The GIS Specialist works broadly within the region to collect, store, analyze, and present geographic data. The work involves producing, managing, and presenting geographic information about the transport system, as well as coordinating geodata and creating web maps.

Responsibilities

• Support the requirements specification for GIS
• Support project managers in daily operations and in the review of geodata
• Ensure that there are functioning routines and working methods for working with geodata
• Train employees in the use of geographic information
• Create maps and update geodatabases

Requirements (Mandatory)

• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Swedish, orally and in writing
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills
• A university degree comprising at least 120 higher education credits (hp)
• At least 5 years of experience as a GIS specialist in road, rail, or railway projects. This experience must not be older than 8 years
• Experience in creating maps and updating geodatabases
• Experience using FME (FME Workbench), including automation and data transformation
