About the position

Personal assistance is a service provided under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a man in his 60s living outside Alingsås. The client's individual needs dictate the workday, and the work may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities inside and outside the home.

Who are you?

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.

Requirements for the position:

• previous experience in care-related work

• are secure, mature, and stable in your professional role to handle palliative care

• have good knowledge of Swedish for clear communication and documentation

• have a B driving license and access to a car to commute to work

• are comfortable around animals (a dog is present in the client's environment)

• are non-smoking during working hours

• are open to delegation of medical tasks

Merits for the position:

• education in healthcare and social care

• experience with various assistive devices such as floor lifts, shower chairs, wheelchairs, and height-adjustable beds

• experience with repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, employment level, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment level of approximately 87.5% (approx. 35 hours per week, 7 day shifts per month). The working hours are scheduled as day shifts including 4 hours of standby time.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
