About the workplace
We are currently looking for a support assistant for the Kärrvägen group home located in Nol. The group home consists of two residences under the same roof. The tenants have decisions according to the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and our work is based on a value system characterized by respect for each individual's self-determination, integrity, and right to a meaningful life.
At the unit, we work with clarifying pedagogy, low-affective handling, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to strengthen the individual's participation and independence in everyday life. We have a joint focus on development and quality.
Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a support assistant who wants to come and contribute to our operations.
As a support assistant, you will work close to the users and, together with your colleagues, implement measures according to LSS decisions. Therefore, you need to be well acquainted with LSS legislation.
The residents have different functional variations, so you should have knowledge and experience of low-affective handling as well as experience working with people within the autism spectrum. The main task is to make everyday life meaningful, understandable, and manageable for our users and ensure they have a life where they can live like everyone else.
The role includes providing users with support in formulating goals based on the implementation plan, as a step towards increasing the users' independence. You need to feel confident in social documentation and have experience working with implementation plans.
We are looking for someone who is secure and stable in their professional role and has experience with the target group. In the role, it is important that you take responsibility for your tasks, plan, organize, and can prioritize your work. The ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, is required as documentation is part of the work.
The position involves day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive view of humanity and a good value system. You should have the ability to create good relationships and to empathize with another person's situation, wishes, and needs to be able to work from the user's perspective and put the individual's needs at the center. Having a friendly attitude towards colleagues and users is a matter of course for you.
Meritorious for the position is knowledge of the documentation program Treserva, knowledge of low-affective handling, and work experience within the autism spectrum. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is structured, flexible, and responsible. You have an unpretentious approach, good cooperation skills, and a desire to continuously develop in your professional role.
You must have completed the nursing program or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
