Job Responsibilities

Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a difference in people's daily lives? We are now looking for casual staff for our children's activities and for personal support within the Administration for Disability Support.

Here, you will meet children, young people, and adults with various support needs and life situations. Regardless of the specific activity, your task is to create security, involvement, and conditions for a meaningful daily life based on each individual's needs and abilities.

The tasks vary depending on the activity but may include personal care, pedagogical support, support in communication and social interaction, activities, documentation, and common household chores. In some activities, medication management according to delegation, work with medical technical aids, or extensive care may occur.

You will work either in our children's homes and short-term care facilities or within personal support in the individual's home and during activities outside the home. We work with an individualized approach and use, among other things, low-affective handling (LAB) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) where relevant.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekend, weekday, awake night, or sleeping on-call. Within personal support, a few cases with 24-hour shifts may occur.

As a casual staff member, you enter your availability into our booking system, Time Care Pool, and are offered shifts based on the activity's needs. The job suits you if you want to combine work with studies, other activities, or are looking for a flexible part-time job.

Qualifications

To work as a casual staff member within disability support, you must be at least 18 years old in accordance with regulations on the working environment for minors (AFS 2023:2 Chapter 6, Sections 56, 8).

It is a requirement that you can provide a certificate in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If not, you may be offered a language test via EducateIt.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • education or ongoing education in areas such as support assistant, nursing assistant, care and nursing, pedagogy, or behavioral science
  • experience working in disability support, care and nursing, or personal assistance
  • experience working with people with challenging behaviors
  • knowledge of low-affective handling (LAB) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
  • experience with medical technical aids, moving/transferring, or extensive care.
  • a B-class driver's license

We are looking for you who put the individual first and meet people with respect, good handling, and engagement. You take responsibility for your tasks and cooperate well with others. You also need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations.

Does this sound like a job for you? We warmly welcome your application!

Other Information

Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period.

Instead of a cover letter, you will answer a number of questions about your experience and competence.

We offer introduction, competence development, wellness allowance, and bicycle allowance.

Within the Administration for Disability Support, we work with the concept 3T – Hour to Permanent, where a temporary hourly position can be a path to a future permanent employment.

Before an employment offer is made, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record. The type of extract required depends on the activity you will work in.

When working in the individual's home:

An unopened extract from the police criminal record is required before an employment offer. You must request this extract yourself using the police's e-service "Check your own details" | Swedish Police Authority.

When working in our children's activities:

You must request an extract from the police website for the criminal record and the suspicion register. You order a digital register extract that is sent to your digital mailbox. You do this via the link: Work with children with disabilities | Swedish Police Authority.
