About the position

You will become part of the Brämaregården work team, a team of about ten people who value collaboration, openness, and joy in work. Depending on activities, we work together or individually, a way of working built on trust in each other's abilities and responsibilities. In the Brämaregården work team, we seriously and with curiosity discuss the Bible's message through many different expressions, to meet people where they are. There is a commitment to thinking and trying new things while standing firm in the church's faith and tradition. There is a longing to find new forms in the work around children and families, and in that, you will be an important part together with a pedagogue and a musician.

You will mostly work in and around Brämaregården Church and Tolered Church, but also in joint assignments and activities throughout Lundby Parish, such as confirmation, grief groups, and church services.

About you

We are looking for you who want to be a priest close to people's lives – in the meeting, in worship, and in everyday life – and have a desire to make the gospel alive and relevant in our time. You will meet people in all stages of life – from baptism to funeral – and in the days in between. This implies both depth and breadth in the assignment, and a real closeness to those for whom we, as a parish, exist. In this, you contribute your competence in various parts of the operations and see the value in working together with others regardless of role. It is important that you can work both independently and jointly with others, where you take responsibility for your assignment, while contributing to the whole and to a good work climate.

About Lundby Parish

Lundby Parish is located on Hisingen in Gothenburg. Here, people who have been Hisingen residents for several generations mix with people from other parts of Sweden and with new Swedes; everyone brings their cultures, religions, and languages.

New urban environments are being built, the influx is extensive, and the differences in socioeconomic conditions are significant. This diversity is reflected in the parish's operations as we work to create visible, attractive, and open meeting places where people can meet themselves, meet others, and meet God. With us, both LGBTQIA+ and integration perspectives, as well as other societal issues, have a clear place. The parish has approximately 60 employees distributed across six work teams.
