Description

Are you an empathetic and relationship-building person who thrives in a dynamic work environment? Then the role of Social Secretary (Social Worker) for the Adult Unit in Kungälv Municipality might be just what you are looking for! In this significant position, you will work with adults who, for various reasons, need support and assistance to improve their life situation.

Our unit consists of a unit manager, two senior social secretaries, a total of 11 social secretaries, one social administrator, and three counselors at our social medical clinic. The unit's target groups include individuals with harmful substance use and addiction, criminality, and young adults.

Together with the rest of the social services, we work in an activity-based flexible office. Employees can work remotely 1–2 days per week.

We work systematically with ASI (Alcohol, Smoking, and Illicit Drugs) and several other structured assessment instruments.

Responsibilities

As a Social Secretary in the Adult Unit in Kungälv Municipality, you will play a central role in supporting and guiding individuals in need of help and support in their daily lives. Your work will include:

  • Conducting investigations and assessments of clients' needs.
  • Offering conversations and supportive interventions, which requires an empathetic ability and a holistic view of each individual.
  • Collaborating with other actors such as health centers, psychiatry, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and effective support.
  • Follow-up of interventions and results to continuously improve and adapt work methods based on clients' needs.
  • Working in a structured and independent manner, while being open to taking initiative and developing new solutions.

Qualifications

  • You have a degree in Social Work and preferably have worked with this target group for a few years.
  • You should be trained in ASI and have previous experience working in Treserva.
  • You have a high level of personal maturity and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and respect.
  • You take initiative and show responsibility in your work, which helps you proactively support those we are here for.
  • As a flexible person, you adapt quickly to changed circumstances and show a positive attitude.
  • You value collaboration and build relationships with both colleagues and clients, contributing to a harmonious work environment.
  • Your empathetic ability allows you to put yourself in other people's situations and needs.
  • You have good judgment and can make well-founded decisions based on a holistic view of each individual's support needs.
  • A structured work methodology allows you to plan and carry out your tasks with clarity and focus.
