We are now looking for support assistants for our operations within disability support according to LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). The position is part of a joint recruitment within disability support, which means you may work in different operations based on needs and your competence. This offers the opportunity for variation, development, and broad experience in the field. The role also involves a certain flexibility, where work may be assigned to different operations as needed.
As a support assistant, you are an important part of the individual's daily life. You work closely with the person and provide support based on their needs and conditions, focusing on creating a predictable, understandable, and meaningful existence. The work involves planning, implementing, and following up on measures together with your colleagues based on the individual's implementation plan. The role includes providing support in daily activities, social contexts, and leisure time, as well as motivating towards independence, participation, and engagement. We work with clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling to create structure and security in everyday life. Participation, self-determination, and a meaningful daily life are central parts of the work. Documentation is a natural part of your workday, as is collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other professions. The role may also include delegated health and medical tasks, such as medication management, in accordance with current routines.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Have education within the Care and Nursing program, Child and Youth program, Social Work, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
- Have experience working with people with functional variations
- Are secure and stable with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Are responsible and can work both independently and in a team
- Are flexible and have good collaboration skills
- Have good computer skills and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Merits for the position:
- Knowledge of low-affective handling and clarifying pedagogy
- Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Further education within functional variations
- Knowledge of Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC)
- Experience working with people with challenging behaviors
- Knowledge of neuropsychiatric functional variations such as autism and ADHD
- Knowledge of Sign Support
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Employment Conditions
Permanent employment with a degree of employment according to agreement and start date according to agreement. The work is scheduled and may involve day, evening, weekend, on-call, or night shifts depending on the operation. A Category B driver's license is required.
