About the position

We are now looking for a youth coach for our open youth activities in Tidaholm! The open youth activities are part of the Culture Unit, which is part of the Culture and Leisure Administration. The Culture Unit also includes the library and general cultural activities.

We are part of the network for open youth activities, KEKS, and work based on promotional efforts and youth participation. For a period, the meeting place for the open youth activities has been paused to investigate the future direction of open youth activities. There is now such a political direction decision, and starting after the summer, the open youth activities will restart with the meeting place EnTrappaNer and other measures. We now need a youth coach with knowledge and experience of open youth activities to continue developing the content of the activities. Together, we want to contribute to filling young people's free time with meaningful activities, participation, and positive community.

The open youth activities are co-located with the library, in the Library House. The premises offer opportunities for various forms of activities around games, music, film, crafts, and reading. Collaboration will take place with the library activities, which contribute with various measures and activities aimed at the target group of children and young people.

In the role of youth coach, you help shape safe, equal, and inspiring environments where young people not only feel welcome but also want to stay, grow, and develop together with us.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education as a youth leader, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Experience of working within open youth activities according to the KEKS method is a great advantage.

You can also create collaboration and cooperation between different actors in the municipality, such as social services, public health, and schools, with the aim of offering young people early coordinated measures and an opportunity for meaningful leisure time.

We offer

Great scope to shape and develop the activities with other employees to jointly enable young people's initiatives and participation. You will also receive a thoughtful introduction so that you feel secure in your role.

As an employer, we at Tidaholm Municipality value a health-promoting work environment, good working conditions, and engaged leadership that supports your development. We who work here are driven by creating a positive difference for our residents and being proud ambassadors for our municipality.
