Are you skilled with engines? Do you love aviation? We are looking for a Systems Engineer who wants to help us analyze how GlobalEye modifications affect the engines.

Your Role

GlobalEye includes, among other things, a massive radar on the roof that requires a significant amount of electrical power. As a Systems Engineer specializing in engines for GlobalEye, you will work on verifying that these modifications remain within the certified limits for the engines.

The tasks rarely have a predefined solution, and you are expected to actively seek out the knowledge and contacts within and outside Saab that you need to solve your assignments. You will work with a high degree of autonomy while having colleagues who support you and teach you our methods and systems. You should be a good communicator and diplomat, especially in dialogue with the engine manufacturer.

You will:

  • Be involved in the development of one of our most advanced products, GlobalEye, thereby contributing to the security capabilities of Sweden and other customers.
  • Collaborate with various technical areas and functions within Saab.
  • Develop an understanding of aircraft engines.
  • Engage in dialogue with the engine manufacturer to obtain the correct analyses and verification data demonstrating that we achieve a safe product.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, driven, and solution-oriented. You thrive in an environment where collaboration is crucial and where you are given responsibility for your own work. You are communicative, unpretentious, and have a natural ability to build good relationships – whether with colleagues, suppliers, or customers.

All written communication in this role is conducted in English, meaning you must have excellent command of English in both speech and writing. Since parts of our regulatory framework are in Swedish, good knowledge of the Swedish language is also a requirement for the position.

The following skills, attributes, and competencies are meritorious for the role:

  • A Master of Science in Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or experience providing equivalent competence.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in working with one or more of the following:
    • System safety and airworthiness.
    • Product certification.
    • Requirements engineering and compliance for advanced systems.
  • Interest in engines and aviation.
  • Experience working at Saab.

What You Will Be Part Of

Discover endless possibilities. Embrace challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary, with each person bringing their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
