Your Role

The Technical Project Manager holds overall technical responsibility for ensuring the project delivers the required results within the timeframe. This involves leading and planning technical activities, both internally and externally. Being a Technical Project Manager also entails:

• Monitoring project activities and ensuring project commitments and progress through active leadership.
• Managing customer and supplier contacts regarding development technology aspects.
• Driving the formulation of requirements for internal technical functions, as well as associated documentation.
• Having the ability to conduct analyses and basic project planning from the initial contract phase, possessing sufficient technical understanding to create basis for cost calculations, and driving/leading design activities using existing support functions.
• If the project is to result in a new function, one must have the ability to create an internal service including content, SLA, OLA, organization, economics, and billing, etc.

Your Profile

You have some form of engineering education combined with experience in technical project management in larger organizations. You must also have overarching knowledge of IT infrastructure as well as processes and regulations regarding IT operations, IT services, and support. Your strength lies in quickly finding effective solutions and navigating smoothly within larger organizations. You communicate clearly and closely with our internal stakeholders to both solve and prevent problems and challenges. In your projects, you may have support from IT architects, technical specialists, requirement gatherers, testers, and other common roles in a large IT operation.

The role may also include communication with external customers and suppliers, which requires good business acumen, as well as good knowledge of both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An education as a university or civil engineer with a focus on infrastructure, computer science, system development, or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience or more in leading and working in complex projects.
• Experience in leadership roles within IT infrastructure.
• Experience with ITIL and one or more IT security frameworks.
• Good communication skills in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.

Furthermore, we consider certifications in project management to be meritorious.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. Where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail citizenship requirements.
