We are now looking for an Expert in Personal Data Management for the Section for Strategy and Information Governance within the Digitization and Development Department (DUA).
Here, you will work with current societal issues influenced by developments in our surroundings. Issues that touch and engage.
We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement and human interaction are in focus.
You will be placed within the Section for Strategy and Information Governance at the Digitization and Development Department, working closely with specialist functions including law, information management, information security, and digitalization.
In this role, you have overarching expert responsibility for personal data management on behalf of the agency (the data controller). The focus is on the agency's internal processing of personal data and how privacy and data protection perspectives are implemented in practice within the agency's operational development and digitalization.
You provide qualified support in matters concerning the processing of personal data, privacy protection, and information-related risks, contributing to strengthening the agency's capabilities in this area.
Responsibilities

You collaborate with several specialist functions and ensure that data protection perspectives are integrated into development and digitalization initiatives.
Your main responsibilities include:

- Coordinate the agency's process for reporting personal data breaches to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
- Actively participate in the collaboration between the Digitization and Development Department and the agency's Data Protection Officer.
- Coordinate and support work related to registers, impact assessments, and other data protection-related activities.
- Identify and analyze personal data-related risks associated with the processing of personal data.
- Participate in development initiatives and ensure that privacy and data protection perspectives are considered early in change management and digital development.
- Collaborate closely with law, information security, information governance, architecture, and operational development to create sustainable and operationally adapted solutions.
- Monitor developments in the field of data protection and contribute with environmental scanning and expert support.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who thrives in an expert role where you can combine strategic work, advisory services, and operational development with close collaboration across different parts of the organization. You are driven by creating structure, clarity, and sustainable working methods within personal data management and data protection.
You have the ability to translate regulations and complex requirements into practical operational support and can balance operational benefits, privacy protection, and digital development in your assessments and recommendations.
As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and proactive. You easily build trust and engagement and can explain complex issues in a clear and pedagogical manner.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
Your qualifications include
- A relevant university or higher education degree (minimum 180 credits) in fields such as law, information management, data protection, or other relevant education.
- Several years of experience working with personal data management, data protection, or information management.
- Very good knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related legislation.
- Experience working operationally with advisory, coordination, or development work in the field.
- Very good communication skills and fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience working in the public sector or other socially important operations.
