Your responsibilities
As a System Engineer with the role of Print Service Specialist, you will play a central role in the administration and the development of our print environment. Your main responsibilities include:
- Being responsible for the operation, technical management, and further development of our print environments.
- Performing daily system administration in programs such as PaperCut MF, HP Web Jetadmin, and HP Security Manager, as well as being responsible for firmware updates, configurations, and driver management.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in system environments, including creating print queues and deeper troubleshooting of network-related print issues.
- Working proactively with monitoring, stability, and improvement of systems and platforms.
- Handling more complex incidents and technical problems, such as escalated cases within 2nd and 3rd line support. This includes advanced troubleshooting of print flows, user support, and handling hardware fault reports to external suppliers.
- Planning and implementing changes in the IT environment according to established processes.
- Acting as a technical specialist in internal and external IT projects regarding printing and printers, as well as participating in the introduction of new technical solutions.
- Producing, maintaining, and proactively updating technical documentation, operational instructions, and guides for both end-users and colleagues.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external suppliers in more complex incidents or changes to contribute to the development and quality assurance of our IT services.
Your workplace
We are the municipality's IT department and belong to the Administration of Business Support and Service. Here, approximately 120 employees work to deliver stable, secure, and modern IT services to the municipality's operations – and ultimately to students, users, and residents.
We at the Office IT unit are a team of approximately 10 employees who together are responsible for all of the municipality's printers and services within Audio & Video. This means we handle everything from print solutions to video meetings, projectors, and booking screens. Our mission is to make the working day easier and smoother for all employees by ensuring that office-adjacent technology works seamlessly in everyday life. You who apply
We are looking for you who want to take a technical specialist role and drive the development of our print environment. We see that you have:
- Post-secondary education in IT, system administration, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
- Knowledge of operation or technical management of IT systems or platforms, as well as knowledge of troubleshooting and analysis in complex IT environments.
- Documented experience of support work in 2nd and 3rd line, with experience of providing support both remotely and on-site.
- Knowledge of or previous experience with printers from HP, HP FutureSmart, and the tool HP Web Jetadmin.
- Knowledge of or previous experience with the print platform PaperCut MF, networks, DHCP, and DNS.
- Good experience of working in Active Directory as well as general print management.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of or previous experience with:
- Complex printer environments and FollowMe solutions.
- The ITIL process framework.
