Job Description
As a System Administrator, you play a central role in managing and developing the region's various systems that support finance and procurement processes. The position is varied, and you will have multiple contact points, for example, internally within the region or with system suppliers and consultants.
You will primarily work with:
- Administration of systems supporting finance and procurement processes.
- Identifying change needs.
- Driving development activities for functions, improvements, and integrations.
- Handling error reports and performing troubleshooting.
- Providing support to users, and training when necessary.
- Performing registry maintenance and ensuring data quality.
- Being involved in system upgrades and daily operations.
- Performing tests during major development efforts and upgrades.
- Creating and updating documentation for systems and processes.
- Working towards efficient and reliable system usage and good usability in the systems.
You will become part of our system group, which works closely with the region's IT department and other operations. As a System Administrator, you are part of an object organization that uses a control and collaboration model (PM3), which aims to strengthen the organization's development capability with the help of IT and is based on a business perspective.
Work Group
The position is an expansion of our system group, which currently consists of three people, and is placed within Economic Services. Economic Services has three units with a total of approximately 50 employees. The unit's mission is to serve as the region's central function for accounting, handling incoming customer and supplier invoices, economic administration, system administration, and providing specialist competence in accounting and internal control.
Your workplace will be in beautiful, newly renovated premises on Drottninggatan in Linköping.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education, for example with a focus on system science/IT or economics, or alternatively has corresponding knowledge through other education and/or work experience, assessed as relevant and equivalent.
- Worked as a System Administrator or in system development, or alternatively qualified work in a larger economic system, close to operations, and is accustomed to dialoguing with both operations and IT.
Your personal qualities are important:
You enjoy working with the development of processes and routines and have a genuine interest in systems. You are structured and self-initiating, as you can plan, organize, and prioritize your work based on workload. To succeed in the role, you need to be service-oriented and enjoy creating positive working relationships and collaborating with others. You are pedagogical and clear in your communication. You have excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Merits
- Experience from a larger organization, preferably within the public sector.
- Experience with the finance and procurement system Unit4 ERP and/or development of another larger economic system.
