The Electronic Warfare (EW) Area in Gripen

Our team is responsible for requirements definition and development of the EW system that protects the aircraft from threats. The system includes radar warning receivers, laser and missile warning systems that detect incoming attacks, as well as active and passive countermeasures such as electronic jamming and deployment of chaff/flares.

Your Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior ILS Engineer who wants to develop, implement, and maintain integrated logistics support plans for complex systems and equipment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow within an exciting and dynamic team.

• Assist with lifecycle cost analyses to optimize resource utilization.
• Contribute to the production of technical manuals to ensure correct usage and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards for quality and safety.

As a Junior ILS Engineer, you will work closely with our experienced team members to understand maintenance strategies, create maintenance documentation, and reduce total operating costs. You will have the opportunity to develop your analytical skills, attention to detail, and desire to learn.

You will belong to a team working with both Gripen C/D and Gripen E/F, as well as the development of future combat aircraft.

Your Profile

• You have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where you can combine structure, collaboration, and drive.
• Ability to see the big picture while diving into technical details.
• Recent graduate or have worked for a few years and want to try a new field.
• Hold an engineering degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to work systematically and handle multiple parallel tasks.
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Ability to take initiative and drive work forward.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
