Service Manager for IT Security Platforms

based in Norrköping

Are you passionate about developing and managing IT security platforms that create a secure, stable, and modern IT environment? Do you want to work in a socially vital operation where IT plays a crucial role in Sweden's maritime industry? Then this might be the job for you.

The Swedish Transport Administration (Sjöfartsverket) is in the midst of an exciting digital development journey where IT, security, and robust infrastructure services are crucial to meeting the organization's needs – today and in the future. We are now looking for a Service Manager for IT Security Platforms who wants to take overall responsibility for our security platforms and contribute to developing a secure and sustainable IT environment.

You will be part of the Swedish Transport Administration's IT department, which currently consists of approximately 100 employees. The position is located within the IT Infrastructure and Support Unit, in the Network and Server Section, where we are responsible for the technical infrastructure and the platforms that form the foundation of the agency's IT environment. We work closely with the business operations and each other, with short decision-making paths and an agile working approach.

Responsibilities

As Service Manager for IT Security Platforms, you are responsible for the management, development, and lifecycle management of the agency's security platforms. You ensure that the services develop in line with the organization's needs, changing external requirements, and technological developments.

The role involves overall responsibility for coordinating and developing the service area. You act as the central hub between the operations organization, IT and information security functions, the business operations, and our external suppliers. Through close collaboration with these parties, you ensure that the security platforms meet the organization's requirements for functionality, availability, security, and quality.

You have strategic and tactical responsibility for the services, while operational operations are carried out by our technical specialists and external suppliers.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • be responsible for the management and further development of the agency's IT security platforms
  • create service plans, roadmaps, and long-term development plans
  • translate the organization's needs and requirements within IT and information security into concrete development initiatives
  • lead and coordinate development and change initiatives within the service area
  • lead or participate in projects related to the security platforms
  • be responsible for requirements specification prior to procurement, changes, and further development
  • be responsible for supplier management, supplier follow-up, and contract-related issues
  • monitor deliveries, service levels, quality, economy, and risks
  • coordinate work between the operations organization, IT and information security functions, and external suppliers
  • prepare decision-making materials and present cases in steering groups and other decision-making forums
  • follow developments in the field and initiate improvements that strengthen the agency's IT and information security

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

  • an academic education in IT or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent
  • current multi-year experience in service management, service administration, technical product owner role, or equivalent
  • current experience working with IT security platforms in large and complex IT environments
  • current experience working with IT infrastructure, such as server platforms, networks, or identity management
  • experience leading projects, assignments, or major change initiatives
  • experience in supplier management, supplier follow-up, and contract-related work
  • experience in requirements specification and coordination between business operations, IT, and external suppliers
  • experience working with steering groups and preparing decision-making materials
  • experience with agile working methods
  • experience working according to the Security Protection Act (PMFS 2022:1) and a good understanding of the requirements placed on security-sensitive operations
  • a good understanding of IT and information security
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

  • experience working at a government agency or other public operation
  • experience working with the Cyber Security Act, ISO 27001, or other relevant regulations
  • experience working with procurement according to LOU (Public Procurement Act)
  • certification in project management or IT and information security

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and responsible. You have a methodical working style and the ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on work within your service area. You thrive in a role where you get to create structure, coordinate different stakeholders, and drive issues from idea to implementation.

You have good analytical skills and can translate business needs into concrete development initiatives. As a person, you are communicative and easily build trusting relationships with both the business operations, colleagues, and external suppliers.

You are accustomed to leading projects and change work and feel confident in coordinating different competencies towards common goals. The role requires that you can switch between strategic issues and operational follow-up while maintaining the overall perspective.
