Do you want to use your technical skills where they truly make a difference? SMHI is looking for a System Integrator who wants to help develop and maintain vital public sector IT – and contribute to a modern and robust digital workplace.
About the role
You will become part of the Digital Workplace unit within the IT department, where we manage and develop business-critical systems and services for the entire SMHI. The unit is responsible for, among other things, the digital workplace, business-supporting systems, and related system integrations. The System Integrator role is crucial for creating a good digital workplace. This is achieved by integrating standalone systems into a cohesive digital workplace.
In the role of System Integrator, you will primarily work with the integration and maintenance of SMHI's CMS for the intranet and smhi.se, as well as our document management system. You will also contribute to work with other systems and integrations within the unit's area of responsibility, in close collaboration with colleagues in both operations and IT. We listen to the needs of the operations and monitor the external environment to find practical solutions that fit our IT environment and facilitate SMHI's mission.
About you
We are looking for you who have an academic education in IT or other education/experience that we consider equivalent. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Experience of working in a structured IT environment with, for example, development, test, and production environments is a requirement, as is experience of integrating, configuring, and adapting systems on a Linux platform.
It is meritorious if you have experience of,
- CMS solutions, such as Sitevision, WordPress, or similar
- Automation and configuration management, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Platforms and tools such as Node.js, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Varnish, or Alfresco
- RPM packaging
- Integrations with Windows environments
- IT infrastructure, authentication, networking, or Exchange
- Agile working methods and approaches
- Work within government, region, or municipality, as well as understanding of, for example, LOU (Public Procurement Act)
- Relevant certifications in the field
We are looking for you who are structured, quality-conscious, and have good analytical skills. You thrive on solving complex problems and can work independently, as the role requires self-drive, responsibility, and endurance. You have many contact points, both within your own unit and with the operations as a whole. Therefore, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, can build trusting relationships, and enjoy working with others to find sustainable and business-adapted solutions, but also to contribute to an open and supportive collaboration climate where you contribute to a work environment where others want to be. You are motivated by developing together with knowledgeable colleagues and appreciate working in an operation where IT is an important part of the public mission.
Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
Employment type: Permanent, full-time.
