Do you want to contribute to professional pride, joy in work, and hope for the future? At Astar, we educate adults – in an adult manner. We are proud of our mission and are now looking for you who share our values and want to make a difference.
About Us
Astar is a leading actor within adult education. Our vision is to contribute to a strong and resilient labor market. We offer not just education and jobs – we create professional pride and joy in work.

- Joy in Work – We build good relationships, are curious, enthusiastic, and welcoming. Together, we create a workplace where it is pleasant to thrive.
About the Role
As a teacher in Electrical and Energy Education at Astar, you teach adult students both practically and theoretically in upper secondary courses within the electrical and energy field, such as Electrical Installations, Electromechanics, Energy Technology, Automation, Communication Networks, Safety Systems, and Electrical Theory.
You lead the teaching based on the Astar Model, where clear steps, controlled understanding, and structured guidance create the best possible conditions for students' learning, security, and professional development.
You plan and conduct teacher-led instruction that gives students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to work professionally in the electrical and energy industry. This means you alternate practical sessions, such as installations, measurements, troubleshooting, and work according to current electrical safety regulations, with theoretical lectures on topics such as electrical theory, regulations, working environment, and technical systems. In this way, high quality, clear progression, and a strong link between theory and practice are ensured throughout the education.
The role also includes actively sourcing, matching, and following up on workplace-based training (APL) placements. Therefore, we are looking for you with a broad network of companies within the electrical sector and other relevant businesses to ensure safe, professional, and developmental training environments. From the start of the education, you work closely with working life and support students on their path to employment, further studies, and a strong professional identity.
As a teacher and employee with us, you base your work on Astar’s values – professional pride, perseverance, and joy in work. This means you maintain a high professional level, take full responsibility, contribute to the development of teaching, and build good relationships with both students and partners. Together with colleagues, you contribute to a welcoming, engaged, and solution-focused work team where the student's development is always at the center.
We are looking for you who have
- At least 5 years of professional experience as an electrician.
- Previous experience in teaching, training, and/or workplace-based training (APL).
It is highly meritorious if you are a trained vocational teacher within this specialization. If none of these requirements apply to you, we kindly ask you not to apply.
We offer
- A workplace where you get to grow and develop.
- A team that supports each other and celebrates successes together.
- The opportunity to truly impact people's lives.
We recruit continuously, so don't wait – submit your application today.
Do you want to make a difference? Apply today and become part of Astar!
