About the Position

As an SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) teacher, you have an important role where you can see the results of your work every day – when people take steps forward towards work, further studies, and greater independence. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the students' different prerequisites, goals, and needs. You create a learning environment where language develops through participation, structure, and meaningful contexts. In the classroom, you meet students with different experiences, languages, and educational backgrounds, making the teaching both varied and developmental.

You work closely with colleagues and other professionals within adult education to create the best prerequisites for each student's learning. You are part of a team where you collaborate with other teachers and actively participate in the planning and development of the operations. Your contribution to development work is an important part of ensuring that teaching is adapted to the students' needs and prerequisites.

Digital tools are a natural part of the teaching, and you actively contribute to developing working methods that strengthen both learning and participation. You are proactive and develop the school's learning environments with a focus on supporting the students' knowledge and learning.

Evening shifts may occur.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Swedish as a second language within SFI and adult education, or alternatively, are at the end of your teacher education.

You have good pedagogical skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You can adapt your communication to the students' different needs and prerequisites.

Merits

It is an advantage if you have experience working with multilingual adults.

You feel confident using digital tools in your work.

Personal Qualities

You are flexible, work in a structured manner, and have the ability to create clarity even in a daily life with many different needs to meet. You have good pedagogical skills and can adapt your working methods based on the students' different prerequisites.

You are secure and stable in your working method and naturally build trusting relationships with students and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, appreciate working together with others, and contribute to a positive work climate.

Other Information

Scope: Full-time, one-year temporary position

Salary: Individual salary setting

Start date: August 1st or as agreed
