We are looking for a new teacher in Örnsköldsvik Municipality!

If you are new to your profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers, which means you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced teacher with the same subject qualification who can guide and support you.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach mathematics/natural sciences (ma/no) and art in grades 4–6. You will have overall responsibility for the student group and handle the documentation and contacts that this entails. Contact and cooperation with guardians is an important part of the job. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teacher's degree with subject qualification in mathematics/natural sciences (ma/no).

We are looking for someone who likes to be challenged and think new thoughts, who sees differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a secure adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and work team is a matter of course for you.

We would like you to have experience in leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are receptive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.

In connection with the interview, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Approved documents are a passport, international ID card, driver's license + personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or another ID document that strengthens citizenship. For some positions, presentation of extracts from the police's suspicion and criminal record register is required.

We appreciate language skills in Finnish and/or one of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

In our municipality, a number of positions are classified for security, so a security check may take place. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
