Welcome to Sundsvall Municipality!
Sundsvall Municipality is one of the largest employers in Northern Sweden, with around 8,000 employees and over 300 professions. Together, we fulfill one of society's most important missions – to create utility and value for residents, businesses, and future generations. Regardless of the department, we work for the same goal: to be a great place to live, work, and thrive.
We are currently in an exciting phase of development. We are a driving force in digital development and artificial intelligence, and together we are creating smart solutions for the people of Sundsvall today and in the future.
We are facing major transitions to meet citizens' needs in the long term – would you like to be part of this journey?
Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees interact with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.
Your new workplace
Högom School is a preschool-to-year 6 school (F-6) with just over 160 students and an associated after-school center program. The school is beautifully located in the central city district of Granlo.
How you contribute in the role of Student Assistant/Resource
In the role of Student Assistant/Resource, you will work targeted towards students with autism, as well as with other students and in whole-class settings during the school day. It is meritorious if you have also worked with students with diabetes. In the afternoons, you will participate together with other after-school staff in the work at the after-school center, with a particular focus on individual students with autism and/or diabetes.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who thrive in a school environment, enjoy collaborating, and have a calm, clear, and respectful approach towards children and young people. Experience from similar assignments is desirable, but you do not need to know everything from the start. You should have a willingness to learn, try new things, and take responsibility for your assignment. We require that you have completed upper secondary education and can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You must also have good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPD) and experience in self-care for children with diabetes.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
