We are looking for a certified special needs teacher to join us at Häggviks Gymnasium. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in small, resource-rich teaching groups with the student as the focal point. Our operations are driven by high quality and characterized by continuous development. We place great emphasis on continuous competence development to promote learning. Your duties include standard teaching responsibilities, and you will conduct teaching within adapted upper secondary education with a focus on specific subject areas.

Our workplace offers a secure and welcoming environment, where the high competence and great commitment of our staff promote student development. You will join an environment that is permissive, challenging, and creative. We are entering a new digital era and offer good conditions for need-adapted learning. As a special needs teacher, you will work partly together with resource pedagogues and partly have main responsibility for mentorship in your teaching group. Teaching takes place in small groups based on the students' knowledge level, learning pace, and social conditions. We work with a clarifying, structured, and predictable pedagogy with the aim of creating both security and a desire to learn. With competent and engaged pedagogues, we base our education on each student's abilities and conditions.

Your Background

To thrive with us, we believe you are structured, driven, and curious, with a strong desire to continue developing. You see challenges as opportunities rather than problems and have a great commitment to our student group. You believe in every student's right to develop as far as possible.

Expectations

You have experience with pedagogical documentation, such as pedagogical investigations and action plans. You are unpretentious and believe in collaboration. Good and trusting relationships with management, colleagues, guardians, and students are important to you. You share our values: Forward, Together, Heart, and Wisdom.

Qualifications

You are a certified special needs teacher with specialization in intellectual disability. You have documented experience teaching students with neuropsychiatric disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and speech disorders. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
