At Bålbroskolan, we work in grade-homogeneous teams. We have three to four parallel classes in each team, with between 50 and 75 students per team.

You will work, plan, and evaluate teaching in close collaboration with your colleagues in the team.

We work with the PAX curriculum at Bålbroskolan. You will receive training in PAX when you start here if you are not already a certified PAX teacher.

The Role

We are looking for someone who wants to follow and take responsibility for the students' knowledge development from Preschool Class to Grade 3, together with colleagues.

Your tasks include planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching in a Preschool Class.

You will work closely with your grade colleagues, ensuring equal education for all students in the Preschool Class.

The school works closely with the after-school center (fritidshem) in the grade, and together you are responsible for the students throughout the day. The school and the after-school center complement each other in the students' development towards the goals.

You work with clear and supportive pedagogy and have a natural approach to working with visual supports and didactic questions.

You plan for Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) and Swedish teaching in parallel, and you use the SKUA platform to increase students' opportunities to succeed in their schooling.

Challenges and Opportunities

At Bålbroskolan, we work in teams, where most of the workplace-based time is dedicated to joint planning and the development of teaching. You need to enjoy working together with others to thrive at Bålbroskolan.

The school has a pronounced focus on early literacy and mathematics education. We have recently undergone a change in our mathematics work and are inspired by the Singaporean teaching model. There is an expectation that we follow our teaching plan to see if it makes a difference. Of course, you will receive training to join this journey!

We work with PAX in the school in all classrooms.

We have an ongoing development project regarding leadership, mathematics, and Swedish, where you will be a part of both driving and learning.

What you need to bring

Requirements

• Teacher Certification: You are a certified teacher with a teaching license for Preschool Class and Grades 1-3. You have qualifications in most subjects taught to students in Grades 1-3.
• Experience: You have at least three years of experience working in grades F-3.
• Language Requirements: You are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing. You speak and write English without difficulty.

Merits

• Previous work with students with language disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities, or other extensive support needs.

• For this role, the starting salary is normally between 40,000–44,000 SEK, depending on experience and competence.

A probationary period may apply for permanent employment.
