About us

Approximately 470 students attend Grimaskolan in grades 6–9. The school consists of 17 classes, including our adapted basic school with approximately 18 students. We work in closely collaborating teams divided by grade level, as well as a dedicated team for the adapted basic school. We are located in eastern Upplands Väsby, surrounded by beautiful nature and close to a rich selection of leisure activities and clubs.

About the position

The position is a fixed-term employment during the 2026/2027 academic year and involves teaching PE for approximately 30 percent and woodwork for approximately 30 percent. You will also be part of the SAO group (Socially Oriented Activities) for approximately 30 percent, which involves planning and teaching activities similar to PRAO (Work Experience).

The position includes mentoring a group of students in grade 8. Currently, the teaching is largely located in grade 8, but this may change depending on qualifications. The percentage split between PE and woodwork may also be adjusted depending on your competence. We have a full-sized sports hall and a well-equipped woodwork workshop where the teaching will take place.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have a teaching license to teach PE and preferably also woodwork. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching at the lower secondary school level.

As a person, you are collaborative and relationship-building, which means you find it easy to work together with others to achieve common goals. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented by having the ability to find solutions to emerging problems without missing the long-term strategies. To succeed in the role, you also need to be structured by organizing your work well and ensuring that what has been started is completed.
