Welcome to Frötuna School! Now is the chance to become part of our team. We are an F-6 school with approximately 250 students and 40 employees. We are the small school that has grown in recent years. Even though we have become more numerous, the relationships between both staff and students remain close.

At Frötuna, we work with a common focus on stimulating and challenging teaching for all our students. We work systematically to develop our learning environment – both the physical and the psychosocial. We strongly care about giving all children knowledge and skills for today and for the future. We also work systematically with recess activities – an important part of the school's safety work. We have two own chefs who prepare nutritious and delicious food from scratch. Educational meals are included in your work.

Here you become part of an engaged teaching team where you work closely with both colleagues, the student health team, and school leadership.

The Assignment

As a teacher at the lower secondary level (mellanstadiet), you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in your subjects. You work primarily in one grade level where you teach several subjects in collaboration with a grade-level colleague. The assignment includes mentorship for a class. You are results-oriented and have a strong belief in every student's ability to succeed. Therefore, you see the analysis of your own teaching as the primary tool for creating development. You are part of a work team where collaboration, collegial learning, and joint development of teaching are central.

You have a good ability to build relationships with both students and guardians. You see a joint problem formulation as the starting point for improvement work. Through respectful dialogue, curiosity, and collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues, you create conditions to understand underlying needs and find sustainable solutions that move forward. In the role of a teacher, you are a significant person in developing the school as a whole together with your work team and colleagues.

What you need to bring with you

Requirements

• Certified teacher with eligibility to teach grades 4–6
• Eligibility to teach Mathematics, Swedish, and English

Merits

• Eligibility to teach Science and Nature (NO)
• Education in and experience with CPS (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
• We would appreciate if you have in-depth knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD)
