The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary and Lower Secondary School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary and lower secondary school, and adapted primary and lower secondary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Welcome to Glömsta School!
Glömsta School is a municipal F-9 school with approximately 650 students. The school is located in the beautiful nature of Glömsta in the southwestern part of Huddinge. The school has modern architecture and a unique schoolyard that invites to movement and play.

About the job
We are looking for a special needs teacher for our studio activity who wants to work on creating good conditions for students in need of special support.
The assignment means that you:
- Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching for individual students and small groups
- Identify students' needs and design, implement, and evaluate pedagogical adjustments and support measures
- Contribute to the development of the studio activity's working methods, structure, and quality in collaboration with student health services and school management
- Create conditions for increased attendance, study environment, security, and goal achievement
You:
- Provide guidance and support to educators regarding extra adjustments and special support
- Collaborate with guardians, teachers, and the student health team
- Contribute to the analysis, follow-up, and documentation of students' development and measures
- Participate in development work for a more inclusive and accessible school
We are looking for you who have a relational approach, high expectations of the students, and a strong commitment to ensuring that all students succeed.
The position starts on August 10, 2026.
About you
We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher and who have a strong commitment to students in need of special support. You have a good ability to create trusting relationships with students and see the importance of meeting each student based on their individual conditions, strengths, and needs.
You are secure in your professional role and have the ability to combine high expectations with a low-affective and relational approach. You are structured, flexible, and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt teaching and support measures based on students' current needs.
We would like you to have experience working with students who have neuropsychiatric disabilities, problematic school absence, or other difficulties that affect learning, attendance, and well-being. You have good knowledge of accessible learning environments and work actively to remove obstacles for students' development and learning.
As a person, you are collaboration-oriented and enjoy working closely with colleagues, guardians, and the various professions within student health services. You see the value of cross-professional collaboration and actively contribute to developing the operation by sharing your competence and experiences.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in the role, you need to be resilient, unpretentious, and have the ability to create security, motivation, and hope for the future in students who sometimes have negative experiences of school.
