Turebergsskolan is a school located within walking distance of Sollentuna center. Approximately 230 students in grades F-9 attend the school. We also have a mobility-impaired unit (RN) with approx. 25 students, as well as municipality-wide teaching groups for approx. 40 students within the autism spectrum. The school has a well-functioning values-based work and actively works to create an accessible school for every student, and our employees are characterized by great engagement and high competence. We work every day preventively and compensatorily to support the students' social and knowledge development. We are the small school with big opportunities!

Job Description

We are looking for a primary school teacher specializing in grades F-3 for our municipality-wide special teaching group for students within the autism spectrum. You will teach and mentor 5-8 students. In your teaching, you will collaborate with a social pedagogue and a special needs teacher. Together, you will be part of a work team with several teachers and social pedagogues.

This role suits you if you have a few years of experience in developing students' linguistic and mathematical awareness, as well as reading and writing skills, in a structured and playful manner. We believe you are stimulated by and enjoy creating a safe learning environment together with others, leading to students thriving, learning, and daring to try new things. With good communication skills and a genuine interest in this target group, you will have great opportunities to contribute to a operation characterized by a holistic view and a mindset focused on possibilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is stable and secure, with a good ability to build relationships. You have a holistic perspective, collaborate well with colleagues, and contribute actively to the work team. You have the ability to lead and create good conditions for student learning.

Requirements

• Licensed primary school teacher with eligibility to teach in grades F-3
• Eligible in Swedish, Mathematics, and Social Studies (SO)
• Experience teaching students in need of special support
• Understanding of and experience with low-affective response, clarifying pedagogy, and relational teacher leadership

Merits

• Experience working with students within the autism spectrum
• Education in NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), autism, and speech disorders
• Knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
