About Us

Skytteholmsskolan is a primary school for preschool class to year 6. The school is located in the heart of Solna, close to green areas. At Skytteholmsskolan, we have high expectations of both students and staff, and we have good cooperation with parents. Read more here.

We are now looking for a teacher for years 1–3! The position is a temporary substitute role starting in August until the end of the term in December.

What Does the Job Entail?

You will work with your colleagues and teach in the two parallel classes within your subjects. You plan, conduct, and evaluate the teaching independently and together with the teaching team. The work group designs and develops the operations to lay a good foundation for the children's development. You also collaborate with after-school care staff.

We work with positive reinforcement and preventive adjustments. This is an approach that permeates all school operations and all staff. School development in Solna includes language-developing methods, digitalization, core values, and adaptation of the learning environment. An important part of the work is to develop the social climate so that all students feel well and thrive in the group.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for you who

  • is a certified teacher for years 1–3
  • has broad qualifications to teach in the classroom
  • has experience in pedagogical work
  • is well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant regulatory documents
  • is familiar with digital tools which you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
  • master the Swedish language well in speech and writing.

We consider it an advantage if you have

  • knowledge of equal treatment/core values work
  • knowledge of students with functional variations
  • experience working with language-developing methods
  • experience working with positive reinforcement in teaching.

We are looking for you who can create situations where students succeed. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students can and want to develop. As a person, you are sensitive to students' needs, you are clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You also have experience working with student documentation such as pedagogical assessments and action plans.

Furthermore, you will plan, organize, and prioritize effectively and ensure that all processes are completed with good quality. You are interested in driving the school's and students' development forward, you can capture students' attention, and create participation and motivation in various activities. You are a relationship-building, secure person with good pedagogical insight who can lead groups or individuals.
