Our workplace
The Follow-up and Control Unit is part of the Business Area Correct Payments and is responsible for coordinating the agency's work against incorrect payments, welfare crimes, and labor market crime. The unit works to prevent, detect, investigate, and follow up on incorrect payments, prosecute benefit fraud and deception, and recover incorrectly paid allowances.
The unit consists of six sections with over 100 employees in locations including Falun, Kalmar, and Solna.

Job Description
As an investigator, you are expected to independently and collaboratively review and investigate cases to ensure that the regulatory conditions required are met before decisions on support to employers or organizers are made. The role requires you to perform your work independently based on current guidelines, as well as collaborate with other parts of our operations.
Main responsibilities include:
- Conducting investigations and assessments of employers' prerequisites before decisions on wage subsidies, which includes reviewing compliance with conditions, economic impact, and identifying risks of incorrect payments.
- Gathering and analyzing relevant documentation through contact with employers, internal functions, and other authorities.
- Communicating with employers and colleagues to clarify and supplement information in investigations.
- Documenting investigations and writing decision support materials in accordance with the agency's guidelines, ensuring that decisions are based on current regulations.
We are looking for someone who has a good ability to work in a structured and methodical manner and can interpret and apply existing regulations. You have good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and you easily build trusting and long-term relationships with people around you. Furthermore, you are unpretentious, positive, service-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks in parallel.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The location is Falun, Kalmar, or Solna.

Basic qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education in a field relevant to the employer, verified by a certificate of completion, upper secondary diploma, or vocational upper secondary diploma. For foreign degrees, the education must be validated by UHR (The Swedish Council for Higher Education).
- At least one year of documented and current work experience in case handling at an authority, or in economic work involving the interpretation of company accounts and other financial documentation.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning good ability to communicate verbally and in writing, as well as high reading comprehension.
Other merits for the position
- University education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system) in a relevant field for the position, for example, with a focus on economics or law.
- Documented and current work experience in control work, such as auditing documentation or investigative work.
