About the Operations

Hestra Midgårdskolan is located west of Borås city center in a beautiful natural area. You can reach us by bus from the travel center in 8 minutes. The school celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024 and was built at the same time as the Hestra Parkstad area. The buildings were designed by award-winning Nordic architects.

There are 445 wonderful students at the school, and we are approximately 60 highly competent colleagues working together for the benefit of our children. The building includes a full-size gymnasium and a library, and Byttorp Sports Field is just a five-minute walk away.

Responsibilities

As a class teacher at Hestra Midgårdskolan, you are expected to plan and develop the pedagogical work individually, together with colleagues, and within the work team. Collaboration with guardians regarding the students' development and learning is also a natural part of the role. You work daily to create a safe, stimulating, and educational environment for our students and handle all typical tasks associated with the teaching profession. Support in your work is provided by student health services, special education teachers, and management.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for a teacher who is certified to teach grades 1–3. Your colleagues are important partners and resources in your own development, and you have the ability to view the operations as a whole. Your teaching is based on scientific grounds and proven experience. You have strong analytical skills and use them to follow up, evaluate, and develop student learning.

You are confident in your leadership and value and prioritize relationships. We expect you to be open to meeting children and adults with different backgrounds and conditions. Since we work in teams, your ability to collaborate and be adaptable is very important. You are skilled at communicating with both children and adults and are accustomed to adapting your communication to the recipient.
