About the job

Your main task is to challenge students in their learning and support the student's knowledge development towards set goals together with colleagues in work teams. The leisure center (fritidshem) is to complement school and compensate for home. In addition to planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, you will work together with colleagues in work teams to develop the school based on prioritized development areas and the unit's improvement work. This year, we are working with EMPATHY in all subjects at the school and at the unit's 3 leisure departments. We also focus on reading development and student influence.

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher in leisure centers with the qualification to teach your subjects at the school and at the leisure center. Your ability to create good trusting relationships with students is a prerequisite. All our students should have core trusting relationships with the adults.

We are looking for someone who is well acquainted with the purpose, abilities, and knowledge requirements of the subjects and is well versed in the leisure center's view of knowledge and value-based mission. You have good knowledge and competence in digital and formative learning processes.

You have the ability to motivate and create situations that contribute to meaningful learning and learning environments characterized by inclusion, variation, and interactivity. You have the ability to see and meet each student and base your approach on what works, as well as having broad leadership and stimulation in teaching.

Your learning in collegial learning is a matter of course. You reflect on and analyze your own teaching as a natural part of your practice. You have a great commitment to your teaching at the leisure center and take great responsibility in the work. You are interested in developing teaching to become more meaningful, understandable, and manageable so that we achieve the effect that students become more curious and want to learn more.

You have very good ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are communicative and creative. We would like you to be able, willing, and brave to think and try new things together with others.

An interest in being with the students in play during breaks as well as physical activity at the leisure centers is of great value.

Conditions

Permanent 100% position starting autumn term 2026.

Probationary employment may be applied.

We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. For the position, the monthly salary is between 36,000 and 40,000 SEK, depending on experience, education, and competence.

In our operations, all those who are to be employed to work with children and young people must, according to law (2000:873), show an extract from the criminal record. The form can be downloaded at www.polisen.se/Service. It usually takes between 1-2 weeks to receive it by mail.

Criminal Record Extract

Before offering employment, you as a candidate are obliged to show an extract from the criminal record when working in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other activities than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes, work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police's website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
