At Brunnsboskolan, we are currently looking for three student assistants to work in our adapted primary school for grades 1-9.

Brunnsboskolan is a school for grades F-9 located at Brunnsbotorget on Hisingen, with excellent bus connections and only a five-minute journey from the Central Station. Our goal is to create a school where students, staff, and guardians thrive and jointly take responsibility for a safe and stimulating learning environment. We want all students to feel seen, safe, and respected, and as a student assistant, you will be a vital part of this work.

Job Responsibilities

In our adapted primary school, we work in teams with teachers, leisure center teachers, preschool teachers, and student assistants. We plan, develop, and implement the students' education and training based on their individual needs. As a student assistant, you support the students in all parts of the school day, both in teaching situations and during other times. You contribute to creating a safe and structured environment where students have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. We are looking for someone who is flexible, solution-focused, and sees opportunities before obstacles. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a team environment where we work together to ensure all students succeed.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to work with a student focus at Brunnsboskolan's adapted primary school. You have a secondary education from the Child and Youth Programme or equivalent education that the employer considers relevant. Digital competence is a requirement to handle information and documentation, which is a natural part of the teaching. You must have 6 months of experience working in an adapted primary school.

We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), sign support, and visual aids. It is also an advantage if you have experience working with low-affective approaches.

As a person, you adapt easily to changed conditions and new information. Collaboration is important to you, and you have good ability to work together to carry out tasks. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you promote a respectful work climate.

You have the ability to convey safety and trust to the students while remaining calm and patient yourself. Finally, you must be able to motivate and challenge, but also have the ability to set boundaries.

We are looking for student assistants for the lower, middle, and upper secondary levels in our adapted primary school, so please clarify in your application what type of experience you have and which grades you have previously worked in.
