Vadsbogymnasiet in Mariestad offers eleven national programmes, both university-preparatory and vocational. The school also features sports specialization, youth entrepreneurship, and programme certifications. The school currently has just over 700 students and approximately 75 educators. We work together in programme teams, close to the principal and the various professionals within student health services. Vadsbogymnasiet is a school characterized by security and study peace, where students and staff thrive and can focus on learning and education. The school has low staff turnover among teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vocational teacher in the Sales and Service Programme, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of teaching in the subjects:

• Commerce
• Commerce and Sustainable Development

You are responsible for securing internship placements (APL) and thereby maintaining dialogue with external businesses. The role also includes mentoring duties, where you have an overarching role in monitoring your students' knowledge development and study situation.

The position we are now seeking is at 50% and is fixed-term for the academic year 2026/2027.

The teaching team consists of three subject teachers who have a close and good collaboration. We hope you also want to become an important part of our joint work and look forward to your application!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are primarily looking for you who are a qualified teacher with a teaching license and experience from teaching in commerce. Experience and teaching familiarity with entrepreneurship and Youth Entrepreneurship are meritorious.

You have an interest and drive to further develop the programme and its characteristic courses towards the future together with your colleagues. You should also be keen on creating and maintaining good relationships with employers in the industry. You are a secure and stable person who wants to develop and constantly improve your teaching in an engaged and responsible manner.

In your role, you need to be communicative and have a good ability to create a positive learning environment for your students. It is important to us that you are approachable, have a good sense of humor, and find it easy to collaborate – it contributes to us having fun together!

A driver's license is a requirement for the position.
