Your workplace

Fagerhultsskolan is a relatively newly established school for grades 4–9 located in Hindås, Härryda Municipality. Approximately 360 students attend the school in grades 4–9. Here, you will work in welcoming, functional, and well-planned facilities. The school opened during the 2021/2022 academic year, and we are soon entering our sixth year together. We work in grade-level teams, and each grade has its own home base featuring larger teaching halls as well as some smaller group rooms. The teachers' workspace is located within the home base to ensure proximity to the students. Each class has its own home classroom where the majority of teaching takes place, and in addition to the home classrooms, there are rooms for practical and aesthetic subjects.

At Fagerhultsskolan, we emphasize collaborative work and strive for a common perspective regarding our students' learning, with accessibility as a focus in both the physical and the social and pedagogical learning environment. School-wide, we work with Positive Behavior Support (PBS). Good cooperation with guardians is something we place great importance on and see as a vital part of our work. You can reach Fagerhultsskolan by bus from, for example, Korsvägen, or by train from Gothenburg Central Station.

Students at the school have their own digital tool, but we primarily work with analog teaching materials in all subjects.

Your role

We are looking for a handicraft teacher with qualifications to teach both types of handicrafts for grades 6–9. We are looking for you who have an inclusive approach and meet each student based on individual prerequisites and needs. You are an engaged and flexible pedagogue with good collaboration skills and a positive attitude. You have the ability to create good encounters and to interact well with students, guardians, and colleagues. You believe that mentorship and relationships with students are important.

Requirements for the position

You who apply:

• Must be a certified handicraft teacher, preferably in combination with another subject. It is also possible to be considered for the position if you are awaiting your certification.
• See working in teams as a strength.
• Wish to develop your teaching and work systematically with planning, implementing, and assessing students' knowledge.
• Adapt teaching at the group level to give all students the prerequisites to develop as far as possible based on their individual conditions.
• Believe that guardians are an important resource in your work.
• Have the ability to create good relationships and have a clear and professional approach in dialogue with students and guardians.
• Are good at communicating, both verbally and in writing.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police Register of Offenses must be presented. An extract from the Suspicion Register may also become relevant depending on the position.
