Description

Adult Education is part of the Competence Centre, where we work together with education, labor market, and integration issues. We educate students in both Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and municipal adult education at basic and upper secondary levels. We also offer vocational and apprenticeship training in collaboration with the Region Västra Götaland.

At Adult Education, we work closely in teams. This position means that you will primarily belong to the SFI team, but you will also collaborate with colleagues from other units. As a qualified SFI teacher, you will teach on various study paths and within different courses. We are looking for you who are inspired by working in a team and want to be involved in shaping the work at the Competence Centre Kungälv.

About the Position

As an SFI teacher, you are responsible for planning, conducting, assessing, and following up on teaching according to current directives and goals. You meet adult students with different experiences, educational backgrounds, and goals, which requires flexibility. You have a strong ability to build relationships and use a language- and knowledge-developing approach. Teaching takes place both during the day and in the evenings. You work closely with your colleagues in a supportive and development-oriented team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a teacher with the eligibility to teach SFI. You have experience working with SFI teaching. You have a positive attitude and can work both independently and in groups. You take responsibility and have a good ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and other contacts involved in the student's education. As a teacher with us, we want you to focus on knowledge, learning, and each student's knowledge development. You have a positive view of people and expect that everyone can succeed based on their conditions! We want you to stand for pedagogical versatility and have a desire to create safe learning environments where the student's opportunities to succeed are in focus, as well as a desire to develop the operations together with educators and other staff in a good work climate.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a teaching license with eligibility to teach SFI.
• Have experience teaching in adult education.
• Are creative, structured, and innovative.
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students with different backgrounds and conditions.
• Are well-acquainted with the school's directives.
• Have good digital competence and use digital tools as a natural part of teaching.
• Are flexible and enjoy teaching both during the day and in the evenings.
• Have an inclusive approach and a strong focus on student learning.
