About Gullhögskolan

Gullhögskolan is Vårgårda Municipality's secondary school with approximately 410 students. Here, all the municipality's youth gather to jointly complete the final stage of compulsory school. We are centrally located in Vårgårda, and you can easily reach us from the surrounding municipalities. Our school is a place to be proud of.

Every day, over 60 staff members work for our wonderful students. We are organized into work teams around three classes in the same grade and subject teams for collaboration and support in subject development. You will be part of the work team for Grade 8 and the subject team for music. Together, you are responsible for the students' knowledge development.

In addition to the teaching staff, we have a complete student health team with 1–2 persons per profession. Branching off from the student health service, there is the specteam, which supports students in their learning, and the social team, which supports social development with break activities, adult presence, work against bullying, and work on attendance. We have our own caretaker, a fantastic school cafeteria, reception, and a nice school library with an educated librarian collaborating with teachers. We also have a special education group, adapted compulsory school, preparatory group, and are responsible for mother tongue instruction and study guidance in the municipality's compulsory schools.

We focus on cognitive science regarding learning and teaching, reading analogously, writing by hand, using retrieval in teaching, and ensuring that practical subjects remain practical to the greatest extent possible. Responsibilities

Your responsibilities are standard for teachers, including but not limited to:

• Planning, implementation, and development of teaching
• Assessment and grading
• Developmental conversations
• Collaboration with students, guardians, colleagues, and management

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach music. Alternatively, we are looking for you who have good knowledge within music and experience/interest in teaching students in music.
