Friskolan Metis in Skara is looking for an engaged and inspiring French teacher who wants to help develop teaching in a school where innovation, commitment, and a student focus are at the center.

About the position

As a French teacher, you will teach students in grades 6–9. You will have the opportunity to spark students' interest in language, culture, and communication, and help equip them with tools to meet an increasingly international world.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Inspire students to develop their French skills through varied, creative, and communicative teaching.
• Create teaching that stimulates students' curiosity about the French language and Francophone culture.
• Develop students' ability to speak, listen, read, and write in French based on their individual prerequisites.
• Collaborate with dedicated colleagues to develop the school's pedagogical activities.
• Contribute to a safe and stimulating school environment where students have the opportunity to develop both academically and socially.
• Be a clear leader and a responsive educator who sees every student and their individual needs.

You will work closely with your work team to plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching in accordance with governing documents and the school's vision. The role requires creativity, structure, and flexibility to meet students' diverse needs and create a learning environment where everyone can succeed.

Who are you?

• Is a qualified French teacher for primary and lower secondary school.
• Is passionate about student learning and development and has strong pedagogical skills.
• Has good leadership qualities and can create a safe, inspiring, and structured learning environment.
• Is a team player who values collaboration with colleagues and is unpretentious in your professional role.
• Is relationship-building and has the ability to build positive and sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Has an interest in language and culture and can make teaching lively and relevant for students.
• Wants to develop within your profession and contribute to the school's continued pedagogical development.

Scope: Part-time 35%
