About the workplace

Garnvindeskolan is a school in northern Ale, Skepplanda. There are 270 wonderful students here. We have three after-school care departments, with grades Pre-K to 3 on each department. We place great emphasis on our values-based work, where we operate under the "Dragon" initiative, leading the work together with our safety team.

Responsibilities

You are attached to an after-school care department but collaborate with other after-school care teachers across all departments to create and plan activities and goals for the operation. Depending on your qualifications, teaching may also take place in the school. Collaboration between the school and the after-school care is an important part of creating a holistic and continuous day for the students.

In this role, you will contribute to:

  • conducting teaching in the after-school care based on students' needs, interests, and experiences
  • creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • strengthening students' social skills, sense of responsibility, and interaction
  • working proactively for safety and study peace, including during breaks and transitions
  • contributing to equity, structure, and clear guidelines
  • participating in and developing the systematic quality work of the after-school care
  • collaborating with colleagues and guardians regarding students' development

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified after-school care teacher. Experience from after-school care and school is meritorious, but we also welcome recent graduates. Other relevant and equivalent education may also be of interest.

You have good knowledge of the after-school care's governing documents and work consciously to build safe and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are clear in your communication, have a positive and professional attitude, and actively contribute to the school's development work. Personal suitability is given great weight.

Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline ends.

A valid extract from the criminal record register must be presented.
