Your responsibilities
The position requires a clear knowledge orientation towards medical subject areas, such as anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology within the general nurse's area of competence. If necessary, teaching within the specialist nurse's area of competence will also be part of the assignment.
The position includes responsibility for teaching, course coordination, course administration, and supervision of bachelor's theses within programs and courses in care science with a focus on the basic education for nurses. The teaching is in care science related to the nurse's area of responsibility. The duties also include work at the Clinical Training Centre (KTC), which is a facility that provides both basic skills training and more advanced simulation.
Collaboration with healthcare operations is part of the duties, as well as participation in assessment meetings during students' practice-based education. Teaching at an educational care ward may occur. Furthermore, participation in research and development work in one's own area at the academy and following developments within one's own subject area and societal development in general that are significant for work at the university are included. The position includes 10% competence development time.
Your qualifications
A master's degree in care science or a corresponding subject is required for the position. In addition, demonstrated pedagogical skill, documented medical knowledge orientation, and a Swedish nursing license with experience working as a nurse are required. Applicants must have the ability to communicate clearly and possess good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Documented good teamwork skills, ability to work independently, and experience in teaching and student supervision are also prerequisites.
