Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola in Borås was established in 2010 and offers vocational and university-preparatory education within the Social Sciences Program, Economics Program, Crafts Program, and Care and Nursing Program, with specializations including Behavioral Science, Economics, Law, Hairdressing, Hair & Makeup Styling, Health and Care.

Your Role

We are looking for a substitute teacher in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language, as well as Communication, to cover parental leave. The position is 100% and runs until December 2026. As a teacher, you are a vital part of our school's success, and together with all staff, you lead health-promoting work at the school, in your teaching, and in daily interactions with students and colleagues.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher, or have good knowledge of the subject of Swedish. We seek you with a strong personal commitment to learning and developing our students' knowledge. As a teacher, you are attentive and wish to guide students towards their future. You also have pedagogical skill based on good communication with students. We also expect you to be well-acquainted with the school's regulations.

You have a deep understanding of young people's individual conditions and needs. You have experience or the ability to create clear structure for the students you work with, and you easily build good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues, making you a skilled communicator. You have a clear student focus and are driven by seeing young people develop. You are engaged, flexible, and have a modern approach to teaching. As a colleague, you are unpretentious, inspiring, and quick to take initiative, seeing opportunities instead of obstacles.
