About the Job

Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher (speciallärare) with us, you play an important role in driving and developing the pedagogical work with students to increase their learning and goal achievement. This means that you, individually and together with colleagues, plan, evaluate, and follow up on students' knowledge development. Your work will involve:

  • Work with special support and extra adaptations.
  • Observations, guidance, and support in teaching.
  • Close collaboration with special educators and the student health team.
  • Work with assessments and action plans together with special educators and teachers.
  • Contributing to the school's positive work climate and actively participating in the school's development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are an engaged special needs teacher who wants to make a difference for our students in grades 1–6.

We are looking for you who are a qualified special needs teacher. You have experience of teaching within primary school and are well-versed in the school's steering documents and can put them into practice.

We want you to have a good ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good communication skills, clear leadership, and good collaboration skills. You reflect on your teaching and how it can be developed through evaluation and application of current research as part of the school's systematic quality work. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Employment is subject to necessary decisions being made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for operations within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), care and assistance, health and medical care, psychiatric care, and addiction care, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented or submitted prior to employment.
